In the picture the woman is wearing red white and blue so it is obvious she is patriotic. The poster says the key to victory is in the kitchen. This message is directed at woman at home while their husbands fight. They are saying they can help from home, in their kitchens. But, not by eating more. They want people to eat less to save money for war bonds. This poster is from around the time when the government was pushing the sales of war bonds to help the troops, and this is an example of that push.
